It explains our right to do certain things you may or may not realize
... like how we can keep your money in some cases if you disregard our simple rules or cause us to incur staffing costs by trying to game the system. Those provisions are bolded - the rest of them are pretty unremarkable.
Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy is simple; as long as Looking2 is owned and operated by its founder, we have no interest in tracking you, mining your data,
or selling any information you provide in either making a listing or searching for one. That is not the business model – our income comes from
the Listing Fees. If we collect information not needed for your Listing, it was essentially done without intent and will not be used.
Terms
1. By creating a Listing, you agree to be bound by these terms and are presumed to have read them.
2. Looking2 provides guidance in the creation of a Listing for the purpose of providing a harmonized slate of search results to our Lookers.
If a Lister fails to follow our guidance, their Listing is subject to correction by the Looking2 staff. If the Listing requires undue effort
to harmonize, the Listing might not be published and the Listing Fee will be retained as liquidated damages. Of course we WANT your Listing; it's
just that it MUST follow our format - follow the guidance and this won't be a problem.
3. Looking2 is intended to be family-friendly. While we accept Listings for adult-oriented events and businesses, involving, for example,
alcohol, firearms, legal cannabis, etc, we will not accept Listings having to do with sexual encounters, violence, hate speech, or the like.
Attempting to List same may result in the forfeiture of the Listing Fee, without the Listing being published. Use the Contact Us feature if you
are uncertain your Listing would be acceptable.
4. Looking2 does not guarantee the accuracy of any Listing. Lookers should check with an establishment before relying upon any information we provide.
That’s why Listings contain Contact Information. We do not recommend visiting any Listing without checking their website or giving them a call.
5. Looking2 does not vet or vouch for any Listing. We have no way of knowing if Listings are honest or forthright and do not take responsibility for
any inaccuracies. Buyer beware!
6. Strictly speaking, there is only a one-time charge for a Listing (the Listing Fee) made after the Roll-Out period. This means that a Listing will
remain in the L2 Database for as long as the database is maintained once that fee is paid. HOWEVER, an annual fee IS REQUIRED to maintain a Listing’s
Timestamp. The Timestamp is what determines a Listing’s position in the Default Search Results, before a Looker elects to sort them by Name, Location,
or Description. The Timestamp gets assigned when a Lister creates a Listing, or when a Listing Looking2 may have created is claimed, and can be important
because Listings without a Timestamp get pushed down the page by Listings with a Timestamp. The responsibility for remembering to make the annual payment
is on the Lister. PLEASE NOTE THAT LISTINGS MADE DURING THE OFFICIAL ROLL-OUT PERIOD ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THIS ANNUAL FEE.
7. Pricing is of course subject to change. We require Fees because we do not have sponsored listings, premium services (whatever those are), or include
advertising that may distract or influence Lookers. Depending upon the search terms used, every Listing has an equal chance of being found.
8. Like any business, Looking2.com could change ownership, affecting its terms and policies.
